Morgan's Preschool Report from his Nursery (which is attached to the Primary School). Can you believe he starts at real school in August..?
Personal and Social Development
Morgan is very happy and settled in Nursery and has formed some positive relationships. He enjoys a wide range of activities and enjoys participating in new and different activities. He can become easily upset if asked to do something he does not want to do and with sharing, but this is improving all the time. He has worked hard in Nursery and is keen and interested in all we do. It has been great to see Morgan progress so well this year.
Communications and Language
Morgan communicates freely and enjoys conversation with his friends and adults. He talks about feelings, experiences and thoughts. He enjoys talking and involving himself at group time, although sometimes needs to remember to put his hand up, instead of calling out. He listens well and always takes an interest in what is being said. He loves looking at all kinds of books, by himself, with friends and group stories.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Morgan shows confidence in his mathematical skills, knowing numbers, shapes and able to recognise patterns. He shows an interest in the world around him and has a caring approach to the environment and towards others. His keen approach to learning comes across in all we do in the Nursery, as he is always there with good recall of main points of a topic, with his own thoughts and ideas to add.
Expressive and Aesthetic Development
Morgan enjoys participating in role-play and dancing and singing with musical instrument and shows a good sense of rhythm. He likes to make models and pictures by involving himself in creative craft activities at the art table.
Physical Development and Movement
Morgan enjoys physical activity both indoors and out. He has good body control and is well coordinated. He can use apparatus in an energetic and confident way. He enjoys spending time at construction table and makes fantastic models. He has excellent fine motor control.
Special Interests
Playing with train and car sets. Looking and reading books and doing difficult jigsaws.
Next Steps
Encourage him to participate in activities, which will continue to develop his writing skills and continue to work with him with his interest in science and topics. Also helping to work on sharing and cooperating with others.
