While we were on holiday, Morgan learned a lot of really smart stuff. It goes without saying that we think he's a genius - see what you think.

• Day and Night
  He now knows that at night, the sky is black, and in the day, it's blue. No doubt this will confuse him when he's in a murky winter's day. He can also *say* Blue Sky! and Black Sky!, as well as Day and Night.
• Counting
  We counted the steps to our room every time we went up and down, so he now happily counts to 13. He seems to have a grasp of the concept of the numbers, not just that they're an interesting sound pattern. He does however tend to get a bit excited at about 7, rushing on to 8, 9, 10! sometimes.
• Boats
  Our hotel was right by the beach, where there were lots of sailing dinghies and windsurfers, plus a harbour just along the sea-front. Tess, the woman who ran the kids' club, also took him out in dinghy a couple of times, and he absolutely loved it.
• Sand
  He's now no longer upset about the prospect of walking on sand, even in his bare feet. He's even happy with the prospect of getting his toes wet too. Quite a contrast from the last time when he got a bit cold and went off the idea.
• Family Unit
  He now lists our family as being Mummy, Daddy, Morgan, Baby
